“My wife, C., had a total knee replacement at Baptist Hospital in Jackson on March 7, 2022. After initial recovery in the hospital, she was admitted to Heritage House of Vicksburg’s Nursing Center on the afternoon of March 11, for further rehabilitation and recovery. The purpose of this letter is to thank you for the truly outstanding hospitality, nursing skill, and unmatched therapy that she received during her three week stay. She always felt welcome, comfortable and well cared for. The occupational and physical therapy she received was particularly outstanding. It moved her toward recovery faster than we anticipated. We were pleasantly surprised that this phase of her recovery turned out to be more positive than with her other knee replacement 10 years earlier. C. and I express our appreciation to all concerned for a job very well done”.

“To all the employees of Heritage House.
This has been the fastest and most rewarding time. Every one of you were so kind and professional. The food was wonderful and nutritious. The therapy department helped me get back on my feet. The therapist understood my shoulder needs and also did other exercises to help me get stronger. The nurse that gave me my medicine listed to me. It was so nice to get things when I needed them. Everyone was so courteous. The ladies in the laundry were so helpful and kept my clothes straight. All the employees had a wonderful attitude. The ladies in charge of visitation were also so thoughtful and helpful. Each of you have a wonderful ministry. I truly love each of you and I will pray for you daily.”
Love, B. M.
“We really enjoyed our stay. My husband and I came for rehabilitation. Every one of the therapy members worked wonderful for both of us. We had so much fun with everyone who has helped us. Such a nice place here. It’s almost like home. We had family and friends to come and visit us. If you need a place for therapy or anything this is the place to go. I will be stopping by to visit when I am able to drive.”

“On Friday, April 2, 2021, I fell at my house and broke my hip. I was rushed to the hospital where I had surgery for a broken hip. Just a few days later, I was moved to Heritage House and placed in isolation. I had no idea what my rehab would be. I just knew I wanted to go back home.
During my stay here I had some of the best care I’ve ever had. The people here have become like family to me. If I was in pain, they brought me Tylenol. They made sure I received my meds on time each day. My clothes were always laundered each day. My room was always cleaned. Whatever I needed, they gave it.
All of the people here treat their patients like they’re the most important and I believe it’s true. The therapist become like family with a purpose. They push just enough to make you want to try harder. I was blessed with the best. If you’re ever in need of this kind of place, Heritage House is the best. It will always have a place in my heart. My extended family, and I love them.”
“Thank God we have this place. It is definitely needed. I have been so very pleased. So many people would not be working if this place was not here. The people are happy – they are not mad that they have to work. I love it here.”
“Josie was very discouraged when her father was discharged from the hospital into the nursing home in a very frail condition. But after several weeks, she returned to me and said, “Daddy was in bad shape when he got out of the hospital. We put him in the nursing home on hospice, expecting him to die. But you all have brought him back to life! Daddy hasn’t looked and felt this good in a long time!”

“Following my hospital stay, I attended Heritage House Nursing Center for my rehabilitation. The therapist and staff were wonderful!! I could not say enough good things about all of you. It is a pleasure to say that everyone was very professional. I was able to return home with no complications.”

“Thank you for all the love and care you gave my mother while she was there. You guys are the very best in health care. When she was admitted, she had planned to go home and she loved it so much she wanted to stay.”
